OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma (KCBD) - The Texas Longhorns are national champions after beating the Texas Tech Red Raiders in game three of the Women’s College World Series, 10-4.

This is the first national title for Texas softball. The Longhorns have reached the championship series three of the last four years.

Texas Tech’s NiJaree Canady pitched one inning after allowing five runs on five hits after facing eight batters.
