BLACK HAWK COUNTY, IOWA (KWWL) -- One person is dead following a two-vehicle crash Friday morning near the intersection of West Cedar Wapsi Road and Wagner Road.

The Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office says the crash happened around 11:00 a.m. on June 6 involving a Ford F-150 and a Kia Rio.

Authorities say the Ford F-150 was carrying two adults — a driver and a passenger — who were both taken by ambulance to Allen Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Kia was pronounced dead at the scene. Their name has not been released, pending family notification.

The Iowa State Patrol and Denver Fire and Ambulance Services assisted at the scene.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
