LEXINGTON, Ky. (WBKO) - After multiple weather delays and extra innings, the South Warren Baseball team pulled off the victory in walk off fashion over Highlands after Gray Pearson’s sacrifice fly brought in Jaxen decker to send the Spartans to the quarterfinals with a 6-5 win.

South Warren outscored Highlands 5-1 after the second and final weather delay.

“I’m a pessimist by nature so I was thinking the vibe during the rain delay was not great. But this team for the last couple of years has been so resilient about coming back from big deficits,” head coach Chris Gage said. “Just the last game we came back from two five run deficits.
