ABERDEEN — Top-seeded Deuel used another dominant pitching performance by Katrina Hagberg and a throwing error to down Alcester-Hudson 2-1 in the semifinals of the state Class B high school softball tournament on Friday, June 6, 2025.

Class A and B teams are playing at the Players Softball Complex in Aberdeen and Class AA and Augustana University's Bowden Field.

Hagberg scattered seven hits and fanned 16 batters in the win.

Deuel took the lead on Rylynn Streich's run-scoring triple the bottom of the second inning. Alcester-Hudson pulled even on a double by Delta Pies in the third before Deuel scored the winning run in the fifth when Tory Engebretson singles, moved to second on a groundout, stole third and scored on overthrow.
