MECOSTA COUNTY, Mich. — A man has been charged with drunk driving in a Mecosta County crash that killed a woman and left himself and his passenger hurt.

Jordan Scott, 38, of Rockford, is charged with operating under the influence causing death and operating under the influence with an occupant under 16.

According to the Mecosta County Sheriff's Office (MCSO), the crash happened in the intersection of Pierce Road and 130th Avenue around 4:40 p.m. on May 11.

Deputies said Scott was driving southbound on 130th Avenue and struck an eastbound vehicle driven by 65-year-old Colleen Ligtvoet of Stanwood.

Ligtvoet was killed in the crash . She had spent the morning with her mother, daughters and grandchildren for Mother's Day.
