NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A man has been displaced after he came home to his apartment on fire, according to the Nashville Fire Department.

NFD responded to reports of a fire at a quadraplex in the 1600 block of 16th Avenue North at around 8 p.m. on Friday. When they got on scene, they found fire coming from one of the units at the complex.

The owner told fire officials he went to the grocery store, and when he returned home, there was a fire inside his apartment.

NFD personnel on scene told WSMV the fire was in the third unit of the quadraplex, and that unit is believed to be a total loss due to damage it sustained in the fire.
