CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - On Thursday night, the HOCA Festival of Miles in St. Louis was the stage for a familiar star to shine.

Western Dubuque’s Quentin Nauman won the mile-long race in the high school division. He not only won it, but set the record for the fastest time every in the United States from junior in high school.

Nauman ran the mile in 3:58.65. He surpassed one of his future Oregon teammates for the record.

This comes after Nauman set numerous state records at the IHSAA state meet just a couple weeks ago.
