An 18-year-old Lancaster County man was arrested and charged with aggravated assault this week after police said he stabbed a 17-year-old boy multiple times during a street fight.

Lititz Police were sent to the 300 block of East Second Avenue just after 11 p.m. Wednesday for a reported fight involving eight to 10 teenagers.

However, when officers arrived the group had left the area, police said.

Less than an hour later, police from a neighboring agency stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.

During the traffic stop, the officer noticed a 17-year-old boy in the car with two stab wounds to his torso, according to the police report.

The injured teen was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
