OROVILLE, Calif. - Agents from the Butte Interagency Narcotics Task Force and the Butte County Sheriff's Office Special Enforcement Unit (SEU) helped the California Highway Patrol with a traffic stop on Larkin Road on Tuesday.
42-year-old Timothy Jones and 37-year-old Matthew Fuller, both from Oroville, were inside the vehicle.
A K9 named Vader alerted officers to contraband in the vehicle, leading to a search by law enforcement.
According to BINTF, agents found more than 88 grams of fentanyl in the center console, a scale with narcotics residue on the driver's floorboard, and drug paraphernalia throughout the car.
Authorities say that an additional 90 grams of fentanyl was found concealed in Jones' pants.
