SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) -The Midtown Carnegie Branch Library will reopen its doors after being closed for renovations.

According to the Springfield-Greene County Library District, the newly renovated Midtown Carnegie Branch Library will be open to the public at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, June 9.

Some of the renovations added to the library include a new entrance with improved accessibility ramps, a repaired elevator, a new HVAC system, and new water pipes installed in the building.

“We still have a lot of folks in our area who don’t have reliable computer access at home or internet access,” said Eva Pelkey, Midtown Carnegie Library branch manager. “They rely on the library to come in and do things like job applications, looking for housing.
