While the Texas Tech softball season may have ended on a note, fans might not have wanted — the team made Red Raider Nation proud.
After falling 10-4 to the Texas Longhorns in Game 3 of the Women's College World Series final, Red Raider fans took to social media with heartache but also with a sense of pride for the team in scarlet and black.
Texas Tech fans were full of pride as the team made it all the way to the end of its debut season at the Women's College World Series — defying the odds. And along the way, the team found some new lifelong fans moving forward.
But fans — even professional athletes — from the very start of their journey couldn't be prouder of the team.
But no matter the sting of a loss, fans and the university are looking to the next season with a hopeful gaze.
