LEONARD, N.D. — For Mike and Angie Pulczinski, the Leonard Country Club isn’t just a golf course — it’s home. And this summer, they’re celebrating 20 years of making it feel like home for countless others.
“It’s kind of like a Cheers bar,” Angie said. “We do know a lot of people’s names when they come out here.”
The Pulczinskis took over ownership of the course two decades ago and have spent nearly every day since making it a welcoming space. Their Facebook page proudly claims they’re “always open” — and that’s almost entirely true.
“A year ago, we were open every month except January,” Mike said. “If the weather is decent, we play.”
