Elton John unexpectedly joins The Wizard of Oz universe ahead of Wicked: For Good's release date. Earlier this week, the official trailer for Wicked's sequel dropped, building immense excitement to see Elphaba and Gilda reunite. According to PEOPLE , Sir Elton John will be writing the forward to Ultimate Oz Universe: The Lost Lands, a graphic novel set in the wicked world of Oz . The 114-page novel from Artists, Writers, and Artisans, Inc. (AWA) and Simon & Schuster is largely inspired by the original 1900 book by L. Frank Baum, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz .
