Reports of man killed by vehicle near Alexandria Home Depot

ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - KALB has been made aware of reports of a man who was killed by a vehicle near the Alexandria Home Depot on Saturday, May 31.

According to an arrest report from the Alexandria Police Department, Erik Boyd, 19, of Alexandria , has been arrested for reckless operation of a vehicle at 5:45 p.m.

KALB has reached out to the City of Alexandria and APD numerous times for confirmation of this incident and any further details. At this time, we were only provided an arrest report following the filing of a records request.

The report states that on May 31, an officer was dispatched to the 5000 block of Masonic Drive regarding a single-vehicle crash and a pedestrian. Boyd was then arrested three minutes later.
