ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Students on the southside of Atlanta now have another option for summer stimulation.

The Atlanta Hawks alongside State Farm officially opened the ‘Good Neighbor Club’ Friday from Pittman Park — a community-focused technology space with the goal of engaging off-the-court endeavors.

“I think it’s inspirational,” guard Daeqwon Plowden told reporters following the ribbon cutting. “I think it gives hope of moving forward. It gives excitement moving forward.”

Friday’s unveiling was the 12th of its kind around the metro, expanding an ever-growing partnership between State Farm, the Hawks and the city of Atlanta.
