Parts of Winfield fairgrounds flood as Walnut River crests

WINFIELD, Kan. (KAKE)- As Walnut River was expected to crest Friday afternoon and cause flooding in part of the city of Winfield's fairgrounds, locals drove down to the area to see the water levels for themselves.

"It's always neat to see how high up it gets," said Winfield resident Sadie Pennington while looking out at the water.
