LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

A Louisville man is back behind bars and facing more charges after police say he tried to escape a courtroom when he was convicted of murder.

Court records say that Arthur Pruitt was in court Friday and convicted of complicity murder in a case he was charged in last year. Once Pruitt learned of his conviction, he tried to run out of the courtroom, according to court records.

Pruitt was then taken down by officers and had to be physically restrained while he was put in handcuffs.

Records claim that Pruitt told the officers they "could get smoke too" and to "remember this face because I can get out and kill you all too."

He is now charged with attempted escape, resisting arrest, and three counts of second-degree terroristic threatening.
