FRANKFORT, Ky. — Is Andy Beshear running for president?

That question seems to follow Kentucky's governor, one of the most popular in the country, wherever he goes. But if he's made up his mind on 2028, he's not ready to say it publicly.

"We'll see," Beshear said in a sit-down interview Friday with WHAS11 senior reporter Isaiah Kim-Martinez. "What matters to me is that I don't leave a broken country to my kids. And if I'm somebody who can bring people together and heal this country, then it's something I'll consider."

When asked whether the country is currently broken, Beshear said he thinks the U.S. is "struggling."
