Almost a year away from the start of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Alex Freeman is aware of the opportunity ahead of him if he wants to represent the United States in soccer’s biggest tournament.

The Orlando City right back, son of former Green Bay Packers legend Antonio Freeman, has been on a gradual rise within the past year.

A year ago, Freeman was playing with the Orlando City reserves. Today, he’s a consistent starter in Major League Soccer with the Lions.

Last month, Freeman was called up for the first time to the U.S. senior men’s national team for a June training camp. This week, the 20-year-old was officially named to the Gold Cup roster for the United States.
