The Norfolk Tides announced that Clyde “Ducky” Davis, Daniel Hudson, Ron Washington and Norbert “Norbie” Wilson Jr. are being inducted into the Tidewater Baseball Shrine. The shrine recognizes players and executives who have significantly contributed to the game of baseball in the Tidewater area.
The Tides will induct the four before their June 13 game at Harbor Park. Hudson and Wilson are expected to attend.
Davis was an umpire and scout for more than 40 years in the Hampton Roads area. He umpired numerous college and international events.
Hudson, a former star for Princess Anne High and Old Dominion, played 15 MLB seasons as a reliever for the Chicago White Sox, Arizona, Pittsburgh, the Los Angeles Dodgers, Toronto, Washington and San Diego. He got the final out of the 2019
