Keith Belanger, a longtime M&T Bank executive who is also active in downtown issues as chairman of Buffalo Place, is set to retire at the end of the year.
Belanger has worked at M&T for 38 years. Since 1994, he has served as head of corporate services, overseeing the bank's real estate, procurement, security and support functions.
For three decades, he has served as chairman of Buffalo Place, the downtown business improvement district. Belanger is also chairman of the new Ralph Wilson Park, as well as co-chair for the World Canal Conference, which will be held in Buffalo this fall.
M&T said it will begin a search for Belanger's successor.
