Butler County Water Rescue Team 300 was requested for three flash flooding incidents in Butler after severe storms drenched the county Thursday, June 5, according to Butler County Emergency Services dispatch recordings.
The team didn’t see any action during any of the incidents. Fire crews had the flooding under control.
The first call came in around 5:45 p.m. for flooding in the area of 212 W. Penn St. Fire crews reported one vehicle partially in water with the occupants out.
Three minutes later, a second call came in for flooding in the area of 339 N. Washington St. Crews reported two occupied vehicles trapped in water near the YMCA.
An abandoned vehicle stuck in water also was reported near the Maridon Museum.
