TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — It’s Pride Weekend in the Magic Valley, as the LGBTQ+ community comes together to celebrate diversity and defend their rights.

On Friday, hundreds gathered at Twin Falls City Park for a rally, where LGBTQ+ folks and their allies marched, sang and made speeches. The event comes amid the attack of same-sex marriage and transgender rights by federal and state governments.

The event is also designed to build community, as well as to educate people, according to Southern Idaho Pride.
