I usually read and enjoy V. Paul Reynolds’ column in the paper. However, his May 28 column about Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Commissioner Judy Camuso, calls for a differing opinion.

Reynolds seems to be troubled with Camuso’s policy that any hiring panels, considering potential IF&W hires, be comprised of 50 percent women. What’s wrong with that? It does not say that she wants 50 percent of all new hires to be women.

My guess is that Reynolds is unhappy that the once male-dominated Maine IF&W is no longer male-dominated. He has cited no instances of incompetence on her part.
