PHOENIX (AZFamily) — At the state capitol this week, lawmakers passed a bill that would ban antisemitism from being taught in Arizona classrooms and on college campuses.
The Anti-Defamation League reported that the U.S. saw the most number of anti-Semitic incidents reported in 2024 since the organization started keeping records 46 years earlier.
“Arizona taxpayer money shouldn’t pay teachers to indoctrinate kids into hatred and antisemitism and racism,” said Israeli-American Coalition for Action director of policy and legislative affairs Jake Bennett .
HB 2867, the ‘ Antisemitism in Education Act ,' passed the state Senate mostly along party lines and the state House with bipartisan support. It prohibits teachers, principals, and administrators from teaching, instructing, or tr
