GRAND FORKS — It's still early in the season, but it appears it's going to take quite an effort for a driver to keep Dustin Strand from appearing weekly in Victory Lane at River Cities Speedway.

Strand won for the third time this season at RCS, capturing Friday night's 25-lap NLRA late model feature — his third win in four nights of racing at The Bullring.

The night also served as the opening night of the NLRA tour season and Strand is off to a strong start in repeating his season points title from last year.

Strand started on the pole but was challenged by Shane Edginton, who slipped past Strand for the lead with 13 laps to go.

But Strand managed to regain the lead on the next lap and finished strong, edging Joey Pederson by 2.323 seconds. Edginton's night came to an end with a flat t
