The upcoming series The Hunting Wives has will now stream on Netflix instead of Starz .

Netflix will now be airing the thriller drama series, even though it was originally picked up by Starz in 2023. The reason behind the switch is that Starz had envisioned a limited-series run for the show, while network executives opted for a multi-season run instead on Netflix.

The series is based on a 2021 novel of the same name by Mary Cobb , and stars Malin Akerman , Brittany Snow , Dermot Mulroney , and Chrissy Metz .

The story follows “Sophie ( Snow ) and her family’s move from the East Coast to deep East Texas, where she succumbs to socialite Margo Bank’s ( Akerman ) irresistible charms – and finds her life consumed by obsession, seduction, and murder,” per Dead
