MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Baker High School is one of several programs along the Gulf Coast that will enter 2025 with a new head coach. Eric Scott takes the reigns as head coach after a historic season in West Mobile. Scott served as defensive coordinator for former coach Juan Johnson, who left for James Clemens.

Under Johnson and Scott's leadership, the Hornets won the program's first playoff game in more than 40 years (over Hewitt-Trussville). Scott's defensive unit was also one of the best in all of Class 7A. He is happy for the opportunity to lead the program.
