MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — After one of the best turnaround stories in the state, the Williamson football team is ready to take another big step in 2024. Head coach Antonio Coleman returns for this fourth season at his alma mater. Coleman orchestrated one of the best comeback years in the state. The Lions won just three games in 2023, but they rebounded and enjoyed a 10-2 mark.

The Lions were in the ASWA Top 10 rankings for most of the season. Coleman says the team is not resting on their success from 2024.

"We have hit the weight room really hard and a lot of kids have put on a lot of weight," Coleman said. "We've been moving weight pretty good and a lot of kids are running well, so I think this spring has been great for us. I really just want to build on a solid foundation that we're develo
