SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - After an incredibly wet start to June, we get a break for the weekend. Since May 31st SRQ has received over 5 inches (5.06”) of rain. Other parts of the Suncoast picked up anywhere from 4” to 9”. The Low Pressure that brought those heavy rains is gone, so now we’re back to minimal afternoon storms, mainly east of I-75, for several days. By the middle of next week rain chances pick up, but still scattered storms.

Dew points hold the mid-70s for days. Highs will climb to the upper 80s near the coasts. Our sea breeze out of the Southwest will give a slight “cool down” near the coasts. Inland we’ll see low 90s for high temperatures.
