Carnegie Mellon University alumni never fail to collect nominations and awards at each year’s Tony Awards, but few of them can match Pittsburgh native Jamie deRoy.

With 14 Tony Award wins and over 130 Broadway and off-Broadway producing credits, deRoy’s show business career is prolific and not at all slowing down. This year, at 79, the Pittsburgh native received seven nominations as a producer, and she’s heading into Tony Awards Sunday looking forward to seeing what shakes out.

“It's always an exciting and nerve-wracking time,” deRoy said over the phone Friday.
