Bill Medley’s key to success is longevity. With the exception of a six-year break to work on solo projects in the late ’70s, he’s been one-half of the Righteous Brothers since he started the duo with Bobby Hatfield in 1963. The pair scored their biggest hit “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’” while working with producer Phil Spector and opened for the Beatles on their first U.S. tour a year later, in 1964.

The Righteous Brothers were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in March 2003. Hatfield died before a show that November. In 2016, Medley revived the Righteous Brothers with singer Bucky Heard.
