SANDPOINT — A section of Bridge Street will be closed on the nights of June 9-11 so that city officials can replace the sewer mainline.

The construction will take place from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., and City Beach will be closed during that time. City Beach visitors are asked to leave the area by 9 p.m. However, pedestrian access will remain open, in addition to access to Best Western Edgewater Resort and the City of Sandpoint RV Campground.

“Upgrading these essential utilities will improve reliability and ensure long-term serviceability of this critical infrastructure,” said Sandpoint city officials in a Facebook post.

City Beach will remain open during the day.
