Winfield's Preston Keiffer has never been one to never back down from a challenge.

Keiffer has excelled on the basketball hardwood and baseball diamond over the course of his athletic career in Putnam County.

Keiffer, who stands 5-foot-7, has taken each challenge in front of him head-on, which has led to success.

Keiffer's athletic career at Winfield came to an end on Friday with the Generals' loss in the Class AAA state semifinals against the Ripley Vikings.
