IMPERIAL — At just 15, Carlos Rojo already has a clear vision for his future: become a neurosurgeon, raise a family, and one day return to serve his community in the Imperial Valley.
And now, he’s taking a big step toward making that vision a reality. Rojo, a student at Imperial High School, has been nominated to the Congress of Future Medical Leaders, a national program that brings together the brightest young minds aspiring to careers in medicine.
“I will be able to learn firsthand from Nobel Doctor Winners what the medical field is about, make lifetime relationships and start making the right decision towards my medical career goal,” Rojo told Imperial Valley Press.
He’ll travel to Boston on June 25 to attend the event, which includes seminars and networking with some of the top mind
