ADA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Hundreds of athletes are taking to the streets and river in Ada Township on Saturday and Sunday for the 2025 Grand Rapids Triathlon.
According to the website, the USA Triathlon-sanctioned event has been voted one of the top five best beginner triathlons in the country. Race Director Jon Conkling says participants come from 25 to 30 states each year, with many coming from West Michigan.
"It really is kind of a national-level event, and they all come right here to our great West Michigan area," he said.
Saturday will include the Super Sprint and Sprint, while Sunday is for Olympic and half distances.
