A highly contagious Covid variant could ruin Brits’ summers this year, scientists have warned.

Descending from the super virulent Omicron variant , this new strain has been dubbed ‘Nimbus’ and has caused a massive surge of cases in China, Singapore and Hong Kong in recent weeks. Now data from the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has shown there are already 13 cases of Nimbus in England. ‌
