Downtown Clear Lake was the place to be Thursday.

Despite a few sprinkles, throngs of people roamed up and down Main Avenue and through City Park, enjoying food, beverages, shopping and family activities as Thursdays on Main kicked off for the summer.

The Mockingbirds began playing live music at 7 p.m.

Things got started earlier than usual at 4 p.m. as teams completed in Human Foosball, the life-sized version of the tabletop game, sponsored by One Vision.

Darlene Swanson and Janet Owens, who live at Prairie View apartments, an independent senior living center in Garner, sat on a bench in City Park and watched the Human Foosball action.
