More than 100 community members gathered Thursday at the Chesterfield Career and Technical Center to induct three people into the county's Senior Volunteer Hall of Fame.

Volunteering "is all about good will," said James Worsley, the deputy county administrator for Chesterfield.

"That's one of the things I love about Chesterfield County," Worsley said. "If you need help, there's always a neighbor that's willing to lend a helping hand."

In front of the stage sat the 16 nominees. Each were called up to receive a certificate. Between the 16, the group donated more than 108,000 hours of service to their community.

Next, the three winners were announced.

Wonnease Rhone, Peter Plourd, and Robin Hoerber were inducted into the hall of fame on Thursday.
