Sir Rod Stewart has cancelled a string of concerts in the US as he recovers from flu, ahead of his set at Glastonbury later this month. The music icon is due to play the famous tea-time legends slot at the Somerset festival on Sunday, June 29.

The star is scheduled to take centre stage from 3.45pm to 5.15pm, in a Glasto slot having played host to some of the biggest global stars like Shania Twain, Cat Stevens, Diana Ross, and Kylie Minogue. But he announced on Instagram that he was "devastated" to cancel or reschedule his next six US shows, which are due to take place in the next eight days. ‌
