As reported Thursday, the Atlanta Braves made a series of roster moves following the appalling contest with the Arizona Diamondbacks . Up first, the club announced that right-hander Craig Kimbrel was selected to the major league roster. Dylan Dodd also earned a promotion and was recalled to Atlanta.
To continue the flurry of roster moves, Atlanta placed Daysbel Hernandez on the 15-day injured list due to forearm inflammation and then traded RHP Scott Blewett to the Baltimore Orioles in exchange for cash.
So far, Kimbrel has been the only one to see game action as a result of the roster moves. Friday night, he went one inning against the San Francisco Giants . He allowed one hit, one walk, and recorded a strikeout. It marked his first appearance for the Braves since 2014.
