EAST LANSING — The Okemos baseball program had been hoping for a chance to get back to the regional finals after falling one game short of playing at McLane Stadium last season.

The chance to play virtually in its back yard in the state semifinals is a significant motivating factor for the Wolves. But to get back to that step, they would have to get past Battle Creek Lakeview.

So the Wolves turned to ace pitcher Sebastian Blair, knowing he wouldn't be available for the regional final or potential quarterfinal on June 7. Blair delivered, pitching a second straight complete game in a 7-3 regional semifinal win over the Spartans.
