It seems uncertain if an unnamed "VIP" will visit western Montana this weekend after the Federal Aviation Administration canceled a temporary flight restriction over the Missoula area on Friday morning after first issuing the order on Tuesday.

The unnamed VIP was supposed to land at the Missoula Montana Airport on Saturday evening and travel to the Greenough area later that night, according to the airspace restriction. The VIP was set to depart Missoula on Tuesday.

A separate VIP notice for the Dillon, Montana, airport on Tuesday was still active on the FAA website as of Friday afternoon.

It is unclear what federal entity issued the VIP notices, which are generally reserved for top U.S. and foreign government officials.
