Fourteen individuals involved in a tri-state dogfighting ring received sentences totaling over 28 years.

The dogfighting operation, spanning Georgia, Florida, and Alabama, was uncovered in 2022 after a 911 call led to the rescue of 27 dogs.

Authorities seized drugs and cellphones containing evidence of extensive dogfighting involvement, ultimately rescuing 78 dogs.

Sentences ranged from 100 months imprisonment to home confinement, with restitution ordered for animal care costs.
