The Rec was the place to see back-row royalty, on and off the field, as Bath sailed past Bristol Bears in Friday night’s Premiership semi-final – and we learned Henry Pollock is not the only young English flanker worth getting excited about right now.

Bath’s Guy Pepper was a deserved choice as man of the match, but the 22-year-old had rivals for the award among all his back-row teammates, This is the kind of strength in depth a team needs to win leagues and knockout matches and it makes Bath hot favourites for the final at Twickenham next Saturday.
