Sir Rod Stewart's revealed the 'pleading' message he sent to Glastonbury organisers as the 'devastated' singer has been forced to cancel a number of concerts in the US leading up to his much-anticipated set at the huge festival. Sir Rod is due to to play the coveted tea-time legends slot at the Somerset festival on Sunday, June 29.

However, the 80-year-old took to Instagram overnight into Saturday (June 7) to announce he's having to cancel or reschedule six US shows, due to take place in the next eight days, due to sickness. "I have to cancel and reschedule my next six concerts in June as I continue to recover from the flu," he wrote.
