DEMOTTE — Are the Duneland cabins all booked up this year? Why not try a barn loft in farm country?

The Perkins Good Earth Farm offers something relatively unique for the area: a “tiny home” or barn loft vacation rental amid their 20-acre property, which includes woodland and native prairie in addition to organic vegetable crops.

“We tried to make it a very unique, rustic space,” said Julie Perkins, who runs the farm with her husband, Dan. “Our niece initially lived (in the barn loft). We’ve had wonderful guests over the past few years.”
