The Prince of Wales admitted he had been “caught out with whisky a few too many times” as he knocked back gin and cider with his aunt, the Duchess of Edinburgh .
The lively duo proved quite the double act as they joined forces to attend the Royal Cornwall Show in Wadebridge on Friday.
On arrival, the pair wasted no time in heading straight for the food and drink stalls, admiring an array of jams, jellies and chutneys.
But they soon found themselves at a gin stand, where they were immediately presented with small paper cups of Saint Sithney Cornish gin.
“I can see what today’s going to be like,” The Prince joked as his aunt picked up a cup to have a sniff.
They raised their cups to each other before taking a sip. “Delicious, very light,” he said as the Duchess looked into her cup, b
