The heat is on and here to stay through the weekend, as we will see the temperatures in the upper 80s to lower 90s, with feels-like temperatures in the upper 90s to nearing 100°F. Humidity will be lingering as muggy air will be around. Along with the heat, we are watching an afternoon storm threat that could contain high winds and heavy downpours, but flooding looks unlikely. Storms this time of year like to cluster together, as it can be hard to say where storms develop, but keep radar and rain gear on hand heading out to area graduations or the National Black Bear Festival in Plymouth. Lows at night in the upper 60s to lower 70s. We will see a break in the showers and storms on Monday as they will lighten up over time, but the heat remains in the upper 80s.
