A body has been found during the search for a teenager who disappeared in Scotland. Cole Cooper, 19, was reported missing the day after last being seen near Falkirk last month.

He was last spotted at about 8.45pm on May 7 on the A803 near Cumbernauld Road in the village of Longcroft, when he asked a school friend for a lift, which he was not given.

His family first reported him missing on May 9, sparking a major investigation involving helicopters, divers, digital specialists and hundreds of officers.

Police have now confirmed the body of a man was discovered just a 15 minute walk away from the last confirmed sighting of the teenager, the Daily Record reports.
